A Sunset Session with the Sweetest Trio
Golden light, salty breeze, and one absolutely radiant little family — this beach session with Zoey, Ryan, and their 5-month-old baby Magnolia May might just be one of my favorites to date.
We began at the iconic Fort Morgan seawall, where the waves gently lapped against the rocks and the golden hour sun wrapped everything in warmth. Magnolia, in her sweet floral dress and big white bow, was full of personality — curious, calm, and completely soaking in her moment as the center of attention. Zoey and Ryan beamed with love, creating this beautiful bubble of peace and connection that was effortless to capture.
From the seawall, we made our way down to the shoreline, letting the session flow into a more playful and candid space. Barefoot and carefree, Ryan and Zoey dipped their toes into the water, helping Magnolia feel the ocean for the very first time. Her tiny feet in the sand, cradled between her parents’ hands, was one of those “pause time” kind of moments. The joy was so tangible, so pure.
To add a little twist, we pulled out a Polaroid camera for some instant film fun — giving the session a touch of nostalgia and a few keepsakes that Zoey and Ryan could take home right away. It was a perfect blend of timeless and candid, sweet and stylish.
Zoey messaged me after the session with words that made my heart so full:
“Love love love!!! Fav shoot yet!!! Omg. I can’t wait to blow these up and have them on my gallery wall. Thank you! 😊 I’m just in WOW over how gorgeous they are.”
That right there is what I strive for with every session — to create not just beautiful images, but lasting memories that feel like you. Sessions like this one are why I love what I do.
